Easter Fun With Your Dog!

Easter Fun With Your Dog!

Spring is just a few weeks away and you maybe already thinking what plans to make for Easter. Whether it’s a traditional roast, easter eggs, family walk, or an easter egg hunt why not include your dog in all the fun!

Easter Egg Hunt

Giving your pup the opportunity to sniff and hunt is one of their favourite activities, so organising a trail or hunt either in your garden or out and about is absolutely ideal! (If the weather is bad, you can always adapt it to your home)

Jaspers Luxury Collection are ideal for hiding with their enticing aromas of lamb, game and white fish. These handmade semi-moist treats will get your pooch’s mouth watering as they hunt around the garden. Just open up a pack and scatter around!

Go To The Seaside!

With more sunlight and that crisp springtime air, a trip to the beach could be just the outing during the Easter break. In the UK we have some of the most beautiful coastlines and outstanding natural beauty. Some beaches are dog friendly all year round but before you set off, do check the local council’s website details as some have restrictions between easter and September.

Easter Photoshoot

These days, its easy as pet owners to source affordable themed outfits and toys for our pets. To make the most of the them, a photoshoot is a fun option to capture those precious memories.

But remember, if your doggo is not enjoying wearing something, remove it immediately, there are plenty of toys and props you can use around your dog instead to create that perfect shot to upload onto social media.

Picnic In The Park

With the nicer weather approaching, another great idea is to pack up a hamper of delicious food and toys and visit the park for a picnic. Your four-legged friend will love exploring and playing catch with a frisbee or ball.

Keeping Safe At Easter

As tempted as your dog maybe when the easter eggs are unwrapped, do not give chocolate to your dog. It contains a stimulant called theobromine which is extremely toxic to dogs and can prove fatal.

Other Easter foods to keep out of reach are hot cross buns (the raisins are poisonous to canines and can cause kidney problems)

Spring flowers such as Crocus, daffodils and tulips are toxic to our furry friends, and that includes both the flowers and bulbs if ingested. Keep vases of flowers well out of grasp and keep an eye out when in the garden or park for these.
